The Ponyriders of Pern

1-April-2007

Since the fandom rules were relaxed, more and more fanclubs have been experimenting with expanding Pern canon. Forty years ago, the first Pern story, Weyrsearch, was published in Analog. To celebrate the occasion, the Meeting of Minds forums and the Pern Museum and Archives are collaborating on publishing a fanbook. Fans are invited to contribute their own stories how they became McCaffrey fans. Submissions should be about 500-750 words and be accompanied by a photo of the fan with his or her Anne McCaffrey book collection. Check out the MoM forums or the Pern Museum for more details.
