Edwards, which can be viewed best online at the Pern
Museum and Archives. Once again, the US
edition cover will be less spectacular by comparison.

Harper, will be released on December 26, 2007 in the USA and January
1, 2008 in the UK.

According to rumors at the Pernese
Friends, Meeting
of Minds, and Anne
McCaffrey Fans forums, Anne McCaffrey is working on another Pern
novel. Time- and storyline are anyone's guess, but the story with the
working title "New Era, Pern" has grown to at least 60,000 words
so far.
May Update: Anne has finished the first draft for the book, now
under the working title: "After the Fall."
Dragons for Hugo

Not a Pern story, but a dragon success story nonetheless:
Naomi Novik's His Majesty's Dragon has been nominated
for the Hugo award for best novel. Way to go, Temeraire!

Todd's Dr. Who Short Story

Todd McCaffrey has written a short story in the Dr. Who
universe, The Dragons of Prague, which will be published in the Dr.
Who anthology Short
Trips: Destination Prague.
Another Title Change...

The next Pern book, previously known under the working
titles Dragon's Harp and Dragon's Heart, has been retitled Dragon's
Harper by Del Rey's editors. Todd received the editor's comments at
the end of January for revision.

According to Todd
McCaffrey, the next Pern book Dragon's Harp (previously known
under the working title Dragon's Heart) has been sent out to the
editors. Todd has also started working on the next book, Dragonstime,
which will be a sequel to Dragonsblood.
Second Month in a Row

Dragon's Fire and Dragonsblood are represented on
the Locus
Online Bestseller list for the second month in a row now: Dragon's
Fire dropped from place 2 to 6 on the hardcover list, and Dragonsblood
dropped from place 2 to 5 on the paperback list.

Anne and Todd McCaffrey's collaboration Dragon's Fire comes in on second
place on the hardcover list, whereas Todd's Dragonsblood comes in on
second place on the paperback list.
